Superman & Intamin

Intamin is one of the newest competitor in the Hypercoaster Wars. They are well known for their unique dual, triple, and quadruple rail truss coaster track. Intamin's first hypercoaster was Superman -- Ride Of Steel @ Six Flags Darien Lake. Then in 2000, they built two more Supermans (Six Flags America & New England) and the world first gigacoaster, Millennium Force @ Cedar Point. Intamin are considered by many to be the best in the hypercoaster business.

Track

Intamin hypercoasters track (top of photo) consists of flat or triangular lattice attached to the inside of two steel running rails.

Intamin gigacoaster track (bottom of photo) consists of flat, triangular, or square lattice connected to the inside of two running rails.

Trains

Intamin features four passenger, two row cars that are more open than Arrow and DH Morgan, but not as open as Bollinger and Mabillard. Intamin uses a wheel assembly similar to Arrow Dynamics, but they use two upstop wheels.

Intamin hypercoaster trains feature "stadium seating." The second row of each car is higher and wider than the first row. This helps to give everyone a better view.

Restraints, Brakes, & Misc.
Intamin uses ratcheting lapbars and seatbelts on their hypercoasters. Intamin uses magnetic brakes on their hypercoaster. These brakes produce a very sudden stop.
